Experience the inner City of Cape Town while you catch on it is history and explore the streets to understand the beautiful history. The city is famous for its harbour, its natural setting in the Cape floral kingdom. Find out about The Bo-Kaap which is an area of Cape Town, South Africa formerly known as the Malay Quarter. It is a former township, situated on the slopes of Signal Hill above the city centre and is a historical centre of Cape Malay culture in Cape Town.
Located adjacent to St George’s Mall, the Best Western Fountains Hotel offers 24-hour room service, an outdoor pool and air-conditioned rooms in Cape Town’s central business district. Rooms of Best Western Fountains include views of Table Mountain, Thibault square, the harbor or the city. They have coffee-and-tea making facilities, satellite TVs and mini-bars.
Some Fun Facts:
- The Bo-Kaap Museum is situated in one of the oldest urban residential areas in Cape Town. The earliest development of the Bo-Kaap area, which became known as Waalendorp, was undertaken by Jan de Waal in the 1760s. The house that today incorporates the museum building is the only one built by him that retains its original form. It dates back to 1768.
- The Company's Garden is a park and heritage site located in central Cape Town. The garden was originally created in the 1650s by the region's first European settlers and provided fertile ground to grow fresh produce to replenish ships rounding the Cape. It is watered from the Molteno Dam. It uses water from the springs on the lower slopes of Table Mountain.

- The southern tip of the African continent is the meeting place of two mighty and bountiful oceans, the Indian and the Atlantic. The Two Oceans Aquarium on the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town is ideally positioned to showcase the incredible diversity of marine life found in these two oceans.
- You will be able to contact Asambeni should you require assistance while on your trip. This is to ensure that you have a great Getaway while in Cape Town. One of the Asambeni Getaway Gateway member will welcome you at reception on the arrival day and share their contact details for you to contact them should there be any issues.
Transportation
Flights are not included in the trip. Should you need to book a flight, you would have to book to land at Cape Town International Airport (CPT) or you can contact Asambeni Getaway to assist you with getting one of the best flight prices to Cape Town. Although we highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance for any trip.
NOTE: There will be no transfers between the airport and hotel, that can be arranged on request.

Itinerary
Day 1
- Check into the hotel at any time after 2 p.m.
- 2-5 p.m.: Visit the welcome table in the hotel lobby.
- 6:30 p.m.: Welcome reception at the hotel with alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks (2 per person)
- The rest of the evening at your leisure. Dinner is at your own expense.
Day 2
- 6:30-10 a.m.: Buffet breakfast in the main dining room.
- 9 a.m. – 5p.m.: Full-day City Tour includes, water, English speaking driver and transportation by car.
- 9 a.m.: Pickup from the hotel
- Table Mountain
- Visit the V&A Waterfront
- Drive through Camps bay and Clifton
- Visit Bo-kaap & Cape Malay Quarter
- Company Gardens & South African Museum
- Castle of the Cape Of Good Hope
- Aquarium Explore
- Enjoy a light lunch and drinks at your expense at the V&A.
- 5p.m.: Return to the hotel
- Dinner at 7pm at Fat Cactus (R700 Voucher). Drinks at your own expense

Day 3
- 6:30-10 a.m.: Buffet breakfast in the main dining room.
- Check out of the hotel by 11 a.m.

Breakfast at the Best Western Fountains includes international as well as cooked South-African choices. The buffet restaurant has an adjacent terrace and also serves a variety of local wines.
Best Western Fountains Hotel is located a 5-minute walk from St George’s Cathedral. Guests can benefit from the hotel’s tourism center in the lobby which offers maps and tourist guides. The Cape Town International Convention Center (CTICC) is 801 m away from Fountains Hotel.
Policies
CHECK-IN – CHECK-OUT
- Check-in time is 14h00. Check-out time is 11h00
- Early check-in (after 06h00) or late check-out (up to 18h00) will be charged 50% of one night’s bed and breakfast rate, after which an additional night’s room charge will be levied – subject to availability
- Guaranteed early check-in or late check-out will be subject to one full night’s bed & breakfast rate.
Cancellation: Cancellations received within 14 days prior to guest arrival will have a full stay cancellation charge.
Prepayment: Pre-payment needs to be paid in full 30 days prior to check-in unless the booking is made within 30 days prior to arrival, where the immediate full prepayment must be made when making the reservation. (Excluding peak season dates)
For bookings made within 10 days of arrival, full prepayment is required in order to guarantee the reservation.
Taxes and service charges: 15 % VAT is included. 1 % Tourism fee is excluded. A City tax is not applicable.
Children & Beds
- A third adult/child 3 years to 11 years can be accommodated at a cost of ZAR450 per night inclusive of breakfast
- A third child of 11 years to 18 years can be accommodated at a cost of ZAR650 per night supplement inclusive of breakfast – subject to full double occupancy paying guest. (kindly enquire at time of reservation – subject to availability)
- Infants below 3 years will be provided with a cot complimentary
- The Hotel Management may request proof of age

Name Change Policy: Name changes are subject to an R500 name change fee.
In the unfortunate event that an activity or excursion is no longer available, we will substitute a similar activity of equal or greater value.

Does the total include flights and visas?
No. Flights and other travel items are arranges separately from your travel package and will therefore be at an additional cost, unless otherwise stated in the package you have chosen.
