The Cabanas Hotel at Sun City Resort is located on the edge of the Waterworld Lake in Sun City. This family-oriented hotel offers a wide range of facilities and activities such as a pool, water world and mini-golf.
Some Fun Facts:
- Sun City was officially opened on 7 December 1979 and was developed by Mr. Sol Kerzner as part of the Sun International property group.
- It is home to four hotels: The Palace of the Lost City, the Cascades, the Cabanas and the Sun City Hotel.

Valid for midweek stays only (Sunday - Thursday).
A supplement of R303 per person per night applies for weekend stays.

Transportation:
Flights are not included in the trip. Should you need to book a flight, you would have to book to land at the Pilanesberg International Airport or you can contact Asambeni Getaway to assist you with getting one of the best flight prices to North West. We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance for any trip.
NOTE: There will be no transfers between the airport and hotel, that can be arranged for you on request.

Itinerary
Day 1
- Check into the hotel at any time after 2 p.m.
- 2-5 p.m.: Visit the welcome table in the hotel lobby.
- 6:30 p.m.: Welcome reception at the hotel with alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks (1 per person)
- The rest of the evening at your leisure. Dinner is at your own expense.
Day 2
- 6:30-10 a.m.: Buffet breakfast in the main dining room.
- Day at the valley of Waves & Sun City Resort (at your own expense)
- 6 p.m.: Dinner at one of Sun City Restaurants of your choosing
- Voucher of R350 voucher per person
Day 3
- 6:30-10 a.m.: Buffet breakfast in the main dining room.
- Check out of the hotel by 11 a.m.
*The minimum age to consume alcohol is 18 years. Age is determined at the time of travel.

Hotel Details
The Cabanas Hotel at Sun City Resort is located on the edge of the Waterworld Lake in Sun City. This family-oriented hotel offers a wide range of facilities and activities such as a pool, water world and mini-golf.
Each room is air-conditioned and is equipped with a flat-screen satellite TV and tea-and-coffee-making facilities. The private bathroom includes a shower with free toiletries.
The Palm Terrace at Cabanas offers a full English breakfast daily. The menus are focused on families and children and there is a play area. The Treasure Island snack bar overlooks the Waterworld Lake.
Other facilities include a children’s swimming pool and a bird and animal sanctuary.
Guests staying at Cabanas have access to everything on Sun City Resort such as world-famous golf courses.
Free WiFi and private parking is available. The Pilanesberg National Park is 14 mi away and the O.R Tambo International Airport is a 2-hour drive away.
Policies
CHECK IN – CHECK OUT
- Check in time is 14h00. Check-out time is 11h00
- Early check in (after 06h00) or late check out (up to 18h00) will be charged 50% of one night’s bed and breakfast rate, after which an additional night’s room charge will be levied – subject to availability
- Guaranteed early check in or late check out will be subject to one full night’s bed & breakfast rate.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
All changes to the original booking must be received in writing via email
The member has the right to cancel a booking but the following penalties will apply:
- Bookings cancelled are subject to a 10% cancellation fee on the booking value of the entire stay if cancelled within 32+ days prior to the arrival date.
- Bookings cancelled are subject to a 100% cancellation fee on the booking value of the entire stay if cancelled within 0-31 days prior to the arrival date.
- No Shows and Early Departures are subject to a 100% cancellation fee.
PREPAYMENT:
- You'll be charged a prepayment of 30% of the total price after reservation
- A total of 100% is required 30 days before arrival of booking
- 100% prepayment for all 1 night stays
CHILDREN & BEDS:
Child policies
Children of all ages are welcome.
Children 18 and above are considered adults at this property.

The maximum number of extra beds and cribs allowed depends on the room you choose.
All cribs and extra beds are subject to availability.
Name Change Policy: Name changes are subject to a R500 name change fee.
In the unfortunate event that an activity or excursion is no longer available, we will substitute a similar activity of equal or greater value.

Can I get a refund if I can't make my trip?
Yes, a full or partial refund may be applicable to you if you are no longer able to make your trip. An important note: Whether you can be refunded, and how much you can be refunded, depends on the terms and conditions of the travel package and accommodation where you have booked.
Does the total include flights and visas?
No. Flights and other travel items are arranges separately from your travel package and will therefore be at an additional cost, unless otherwise stated in the package you have chosen.
