- Indulge in a picnic on the Whale Viewing Deck and you might spot dolphins/whales frolicking in the Indian Ocean or take a stroll along Herold’s Bay Beach and watch the sun set.
- Situated in the heart of the beautiful Garden Route of South Africa and only 15 kilometres away from George lies Herold’s Bay with its natural sand, sea, sun, rivers, mountains, lakes, caves and forests.
What's Included
This Getaway will include 2 nights and 3 days in Herold’s Bay, South Africa. Some highlights of your stay will be:
- Welcome reception at the hotel with 1 alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks (per person)

- Daily Breakfast for all 2 days
- Dinner on Saturday evening (R385 voucher per person)
- You will be able to contact Asambeni should you require assistance while on your trip. This is to ensure that you have a great Getaway while in the Herold’s Bay. One of the Asambeni Getaway Gateway member will welcome you at reception on the arrival day and share their contact details for you to contact them should there be any issues.
Transportation
Flights are not included in the trip. Should you need to book a flight, you would have to book to land at the George Airport or you can contact Asambeni Getaway to assist you with getting one of the best flight prices to George. Although we highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance for any trip.
NOTE: There will be no transfers between the airport and hotel, that can be arranged for you on request.

Itinerary
Day 1
- Check into the hotel at any time after 2 p.m.
- 2-5 p.m.: Visit the welcome table in the hotel lobby.
- 6:30 p.m.: Welcome reception at the hotel with alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks (1 per person)
- The rest of the evening at your leisure. Dinner is at your own expense.
Day 2
- 6:30-10 a.m.: Buffet breakfast in the main dining room.
- Day at your leisure
- 6 p.m.: Dinner at the Waterside Grill (3 Course Meal)
- Voucher of R385 per person for dinner
Day 3
- 6:30-10 a.m.: Buffet breakfast in the main dining room.
- Check out of the hotel by 11 a.m.

All of the stylish rooms and suites at the Oubaai Hotel Golf & Spa feature a spacious marble bathroom with glass-enclosed rain showers, separate baths and environmentally friendly bath products. Guests can relax in front of the 32-inch LCD TV with cable and satellite channels.
Oubaai's signature restaurant The Waterside Grill features an open kitchen where guests can see their food being prepared. The more casual Clubhouse Restaurant offers views of the surrounding golf course. Cucina serves breakfast in a contemporary setting with indoor and outdoor seating and meals in a cozy environment can be enjoyed at Herold’s Bistro and Bar.
Oubaai Hotel Golf & Spa offers a range of traditional African remedies and European treatments in the Freesia Spa. Guests can also enjoy the swimming pool and the gym, which features sophisticated cardiovascular and weight-lifting equipment. Other facilities offered include a tennis and squash court, a business and conference center, a whale viewing deck, and a Golf Pro shop.
The hotel is a 10-minute drive from George Airport.

CHECK-IN – CHECK OUT
- Check-in time is 14h00. Check-out time is 11h00
- Early check-in (after 06h00) or late check-out (up to 18h00) will be charged 50% of one night’s bed and breakfast rate, after which an additional night’s room charge will be levied – subject to availability
- Guaranteed early check-in or late check out will be subject to one full night’s bed & breakfast rate.
CANCELLATION:
Note that if cancelled, modified, or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
PREPAYMENT:
You'll be charged a prepayment of the total price at any time.
Children & Beds
Children of all ages are welcome.
Children 13 and above are considered adults at this property.
The price shown is for the number of adults in your search. If you're traveling with children, add them to see the correct price and occupancy info.

Name Change Policy: Name changes are subject to a R500 name change fee.
In the unfortunate event that an activity or excursion is no longer available, we will substitute a similar activity of equal or greater value.

Does the total include flights and visas?
No. Flights and other travel items are arranges separately from your travel package and will therefore be at an additional cost, unless otherwise stated in the package you have chosen.
